Hi, I’m Anne — a contemporary painter based in Winterthur, Switzerland.

Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Germany, I was always drawn to illustration, colour, unusual forms and the stories behind artists and their work. I later studied Communication Design in Düsseldorf, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts, and went on to work professionally in design, art direction and visual communication.

Alongside my creative career, painting has always remained an important part of my life. Today, I work from my studio in Winterthur, where I create contemporary paintings inspired by nature, organic structures and inner transformation.

My current work explores the tension between control and letting go. Fluid layers of paint and spontaneous marks meet more precise lines, patterns and figurative elements. I enjoy allowing the material itself to influence the composition and discovering forms that I could never fully plan in advance.

My paintings are colourful, expressive and layered. I want them to bring energy and joy into a space while still leaving enough openness for everyone to discover something different in them.
